Near the Dipper Tree werfr the ruins pf an old Episcopal Church one of the first in the' section, and the. story has been passed down that some of the heavy timbers fromthe old church which Stood where the garage at The Oaks now stands were used in buildings on adjoining farms, after the church was abandoned during'the Revolution.
