Fabrics for curtains come in natural and man made fibers. Cotton marquisette sun rots, but will last 3-4 years before the curtains disintegrate from ironing and sun rot. Some man made fibers will melt ffom heat in much less time.
Fiberglass will resist heat but breakage of the glass fibers has not been solved to date. Plastic curtains are sold in narrow widths, come in poor designs, fades readily at windows and cannot be mended. They are a poor choice.
