Redglow is ail early season variety, ripening along with Blakemore and Prettier. The berries are large, bright! ted, and have a glossy finish, which along with a large, bright gfern calyx makes them very attractive. They are nearly as firm aj> Blakemore. The flesh is a unifoim red color, has a sprightly flavor and ranks near the top in quality. Redglow is said to be very good for quick freezing. The plants are Vigorous and produce many rumjers, and for this reason may perform best in a narrow matted ro^r. At Blacksburg this year, plots <>f 25 feet of matted row produced 26.4 quarts of berries. This yield was exceeded by only a few Varieties. Rerglow plants are resistant to the common
strain or red stjele root rot. The variety has done! well from North Carolina to Pennsylvania, and as far west as Indiana.
