In Rappahannock County, Mayor Dorothy Davis of Washington, Va., is acting as county chairman. She is being assisted by the following community chairmen: Merritt Grtelev, Chester Gap; John S. Browning. Flint Mill; John Friazell, Washington, and Mrs. Frances Thornton, Sperryville. Each of these community chairmen have, in turn, recruited a large body.of workers to aid in the drive, which is now nearing completion.
At a meeting in Richmond on September 27, a groupj of professional arid business men representing rfie eight Boy Scout Councils of Virginia, heard Gov. Thomas B. Stanley reaffirm his interest in boys and his belief that there i« nothing more important than to encourage boys in Scouting Gov. Stanley is serving as honary chairman of die second annual Statewide Coordinated Scout Finance Campaign, in which the Shenandoah Area Council is participating.
