Engineer, will be in Rappahanncok next Tuesday to conduct a simple carpentry school. The purpose of the demonstration is to give some instruction in the correct use of simple carpentry tools such as saw hammer and square. Anyone inteiested in making a simple bookcase, bedside table, lawn chair, etc. please contact me.
Area contest is March 9th at the Madison County High School. Winners of the county contest are eligible to compltte in this one. Eight girls are planning to enter Jean Lillard, Eleanor Atkins, Dor:s Atkins, Shirley Smoot, Judy Lillard, Dorothy Moore, Joan Hickerson and Carolyn Brown.
Information has been secured on the annual county home demonstration trip. A tour to Philadelphia to visit Independence Hall, Betsy Ross House, also to itdude a visit to Valley Forge and the eautiful Longwood Garden on the Dupont Estate ... a three day trip for about $33.00.
A tour to include the Jamestown Festival, visit to Williamsburg, Yorktown, Norfolk Muneipal Azelea Gardens and Richmond a three-day trip for about $32.00.
