For the purpose of this program “All cattle” reffrred to includes all animals over six months of age except: 1. Steers and spayed heifers.
2 Anuimals that have been officially calfhood vaccinated against brucellosis and are under 30 months of age at the time of the area test. Officially calfhood vaccinated animals over 30 months of age at the time of the area test must be tested.
All bulls are subject to test.
Cattle that react to the brucellosis test must be tagged and branded by the area veterinarian.
Indemnity payments are available. The rate of payment is onethird of the difference between the appraised value and the salvage value of the animal up to a maximum of $25.00 for grade and $50.00 for purebred animals Contact th<* area veterinarian for details as to the conditions under which it will be paid.
