Colonel George \V. Childs, Retired and wife of Denver, Colorado, have purchased a 285 acre stock farm, on the Ha/el River, near Slate Mills, from Dr. R. W. Quaintance.
Colonel Childs was born and raised in Nebraska and Mrs. Childs is from Alexandria. Va. They are the parents of Polly who is now “Miss Colorado." 'J’hev also have another younger daughter Colonel Childs has accepted a position with the State Highway Department in Culpeper. His family. will remain in Denver until sometime after the first of Julv. when Polly’ will give up her title to fbc new “Miss Colorado.”
