The district chairmen were named today by Area Chairman E. M. Jones of Washington. .The campaign organization moved into high gear two weekago \. th the appointment of C. E. Johnson of Sperryville as state campaign chairman, and he immediately appointed 25 area cha:rman to localize the effort. '

Johnson explained the ‘fo, one’ campaign plan at that tm. . ' saying th ’t no one worker in the state-wide plan would be responsible for more than four other apple growers. Each regional chairman for four workers, and each worker for four growers.

Each grower will be asked to give eight cents for each bearing apple tree, which probably will amount to less than a cent a bushel. Allied industries will also J>e asked to participate! “

'Hie voluntary campaign is especially important this year, industry leaders think, because of big crops of apples in competitive area-: like Washington state, New and New England. Beside there’s a big carryover of ap. sauce this year, which will lighter processor demand and p o s s i b 1 y *' lower prices at harvest time.
