In order to finance the construction of this high school, it will be necessary to use the $10.00 car tag tax for 1960 and apply to the Literary Fund for a supplemental loan in the amount of $25,000.00.
The longer the construction of this building is delayed, die more costly it becomes. Steel prices are on the verge of another advance and except fqr seasonal declines, all construction costs have steadily risen over a period of the last 8 to 10 years.
In 1945 Rappahannock County purchased 20 acres as a building: site for $967.00; in 1958 they spent $5,000.00 for clearing and grading this lot and the county Jc,. committed to pay for the numerous scotches, blue prints, and plane made over a period of years whether the school is built or not.
