Good prices should prevail during most of August, although a seasonal downturn will be in evidence whichwilkontinue into the fall. But the trend to. wards earlier farrowings should cushion the extent of decline in fall prices.
So—if you have feeder pigs that will soon be ready for market, it will pay you to push your feeding program and take advantage of the mid-summer seasonal upturn inf prices. If you plan to market this fall, the earlier you can get them in the better. November will probably see the price bottom as a result of the shift to earlier farrowings.
