Lt. John Kelly Updike, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Updike, Washington, Va., died by accidental drowning while swimming near Valdosta. Georgia on Saturday, June 25, 1959. At the time of his death, Lt. Updike was on duty at Moody Air Force Base.
Funeral services will be held today Thursday) at 2:00 p. in. (EST) from Washington Baptist Church, the Rev. John Divers of-' floating. Interment will be in the Masonic Cemetery at Washington, Va. ^
