Two Accidents On
County Highways
Two traffic accidents occurred Sunday on the highways in Rappahnfsnock County.
At 10:30 a.m. an Oldsmobile driven by John T. McEldowney of jjSt. Thomas, Pa., and a Ford operated by Dorothy E. Griffith of Culpeper collided at an intersection of Routes 522 and 101 at ;perryville./
The Griffith, car, going west on Route 522 on to Route 101 on ; sharp curve, struck the car drivby MdEldowney as it proceeded east on 522. The two routes intersect on a bad curve and visibility i. obscured by buildings. Damage 'was estimated at-about $250. No c i« was "injured. - -
An hour and a half later just outjside of Washington, Va. a ’59 Plymouth station wagon driven by M is. Elizabeth G. Mercer attempted to pass a 1956 Mercury operr ed by George S. Hamilton aod traveling South on U.S. 211, as the Mercury made a left hand turn off] the highway. Approximately $200 damage was done to each vehicle.
