The Missionary Society of the Flint Hill Methodist Church met Thursday evening, June 25 at the i home of Miss Addie Boyd. Mrs. Paul, Miller was in charge of the program. Members present were Mrs. Miller, Mis. L. E. Lester,. Mrs. Hunter, Mrs. Poston, Mrs. Frank Cary, Mrs. Barbara Gentry, Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr., Mrs. E. M- Russell, Mrs. Lockett Burford and Mrs. E. M. Francis Bruce At ROTC Camp in Oklahoma
Cadet Francis M. Bruce, Jr., Virginia Military Institute ,son of Mrs. Helen Bruce of Sperryville, Va. has completed the first six weeks of summer camp training at Fort Sill 1959 ROTC camp. The summer camp program is composed of college students who arc participating in the Reserve Officers Training Corps program, who upon completion of college will receive a commission as Second Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve. There are 700 cadets, from 20 colleges ad universities throughout the nation, representing 36 states. Hawaii and Puerto Rico attending the 1959 ROTC summer camp at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. •
