Mrs. .Estelle Updike Fox, many years a resident of Woodville, Va., died Sunday, June 28, after an illness of a few days, at the residence of her nephew and niece. - Mr. and Mrs. George L. Hahn of Boston, Va. She was the daughter of the late Benjamiti Franklin Updike and the late Anna M. Carpenter of Washington, Rappahannock County. Va,
Among the nieces and nephews who survive her are Mrs. Hattie Parrish of Arlington; Mrs. Una Hahn of Boston; Mrs. Glen Hudson of Arlington; Mrs. O. S. Kilby of Boston and Thomas Updike of Charlottesville. She leaves two step-children, Collier and Gary' Fox and a step-grandson, Billie Fox.
She was a devoted member of Woodville Baptist Church where funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, by her pastor, Rev. John B. Adams with interment in the family section, of the Woodville Cemetery'.
Pallbearers were James Falls, Lacy Orange, Willie Dulaney, Maurice O’Bannon, Bea Orange, Raymond Johnson. Cletus Clark, and Charier. Burke.
Geest Funeral Parlors were in charge of the arrangements.
