The annual picnic of the employees and families of the State Highway Department war held Saturday at Dix Memorial Park in Gordonsville. Those from this area attending were Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Burke and children, Patsy and Fay, James Butler and Linda and Steve, Joan Kibler, Russell Dean and Harry Lillard.

Mr. and Mis. Harry Waddell and family of Silver Spring. Md. are at their farm Hobby Hill, for the summer.
