5-County Accident
Prevention Project
Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, E. M. Jones signed the following proclamation for Rappahannock County Accident Prevention Year which began yesterday:
WHEREAS the continued well being and economic progress of our families are vital to the strength of the Nation; and
WHEREAS accidents each year bring suffering and hardship to many of our Rappahannock County inhabitants and constitute a serious problem throughout the naional community; and - '
WHEREAS programs of safety education and information have demonstrated their effectiveness ini preventing accidents in the fields, ■ in the homes ,in the business establishments, and on the highways and have greatly reduced the neediless loss qf life and property;
NOW, THEREFORE, r E. M. Jones, Chairman of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors, do hereby call upon the people of Rappahannock County to observe the year beginning July 1, 1959, as Rappahannock County Accident Prevention Year, and I urge all of our citizens to join their efforts in a continuing campaign to prevent accidents.
