Dr. Boldridge holds the recoil" among local doctors for the longest continuous practice in the area. He began practice in the horse and buggy days after graduating from the Medical College of Virginia and serving one year of intemespip at the Retreat for the Sicfc Hospital in Richmond. He bought « model T Ford in 1915 and since has travelled well over a million miles in Culpeper, Rappahannock and Fauquier counties.
Born in 1885 at Brown’s Store in Cujpeper County, he is the son of the late J. B. Boldridge. He married Miss Annie Marie Hess, a graduate nurse of Chesterfield! County, in 1912. They have (four sons, James Russell, Jr., William Franklin, Edward, III and John Boldridge.
Dr. Boldridge resides on his 344-acre farm “Homeland”. He is a Baptist and a Mason and is a staff member of Fauquier County and Winchester M^10r'al Hospitals.
