Mr. and Mrs. Frank Yates of Washington, D. C. were overnight guests' Tuesday of Mr. and Mrs. James Yates and family.

Rev. and Mrs. Garry Shelton and children Joan and Mike were dinner guests last Monday of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gallihugh and family and Mrs. Gilbert Weaklejr. The Sheltons left Wednesday to make their home in Scottsville where Rev. Shelton will assume duties on a new charge there.

Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Jones and family, Mrs. Dorothy Jones and Mr. and . Mrs. Pickle of Maryland were Sunday visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jones.

Mri and Mrs. Harry Deal and daughters Rachael and Carol and Terry Davis were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Jenkins in Winchester. James Yates and son Jimmy attended" the baseball game Tuesday in Washington, D. C. *

Mrs. Lee Yowell and children of Manassas were visitors lat| week of Mrs. Yowell’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Festus Hudson. Lee Yowell was a weekend guest in the Hudson home and his faim ily returned home with him.

Mr. and Mrs. Jphn Stelocki were weekend guests of of Mr. arid Mrs. Festus Hudson. ’ Miss ""Rebecca White of Warren/ton and Miss Mary Thomas White of Richmond spent the weekend with their parents Mr. and Mrs. I. MYSTERY FARM

The Mystery Farm last week was “Montpelier”, the farm of Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Sdiackdford on Route 231 five miles south of Sperryville. The home was built in 1745 by Francis Thornton from which the F. T. Valley got its name. William Francis Thornton obtained a royal grant for an estimated 40,000 acres lying at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
