Achievement Night
The Home Demonstration clubs had their Achievement Program Tuesday .November 17th, at the Parish Hall in Washinton, Va.
Mrs. Walter Saunders, county secretary, gave the welcome to the group which was followed by a most interesting demonstration on Christmas arrangements and corsages given by Mrs. R. V. Snead and Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr.
Reading certificates were given to the following members: Mrs. Barbara Gentry, Mrs. Frank Cary, Miss Elsie Dodson, Mrs. Paul Miller, Mrs. Walter Saunders, Mrs. Betty Coates, Mrs. Betty Weaver, Mrs. Martha Critzer, and Mrs. Okie Nicholson.
The Sperryville Club received first place on their exhibit which was based on their demonstration during the past year. They had flower arrangements and corsages.
The Flint Hill Club received second place with their exhibit on “The Art of Daily Living” which emphasized the four seasons of the year.
The banner was presented die Flint Hill Club for their work during the year.
