■ The Virginia Division of Forestry has assisted 3,174 forest land' owners in forest management problems and plans during the past twelve months. District Forester,
S. G, Wilfong, Jr. also stated that e acreage involved in the above number of Jorest tracts was over 220,000 acres.
He further advised forest landowners to give their forests a second . look and thought these next few months. The fall and winter months are certainly an excellent rime to make future plans for the proper management of woodlands. The largest percentage of forest land in Virginia needs some type .of planning and care. He said also that timber, whether pulpwood size or saw timber, should never be sold before consulting your Chief Forest Warden or Local Forestier.
