Virginia Livestock lodging Team placed third in the National Contest held in Chicago last Friday in conjunction with the National Livestock Show.
Rappahannock boys on the Virginia team were Randall and Francis Updike pf Washington, Va. Francis tied second in swine classes and tied third in overall.

Outing For Hikers
(Hikers will take off Sunday, December 6th for a trip up the Devil’s Stairs.
Plans are to meet in front of the Court House in Washington, Va. at 1:30 and drive to the foot of the mountain in Harris Hollow, hiking from there as far up as the time permits.
Garden Chib Luncheon
The annual luncheon of the Rappahannock Garden Club will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 12 at Cab Inn at Sperryville. Call Mrs. Abbott at Yukon 7-3752 by Wednesday, December 9 and let her know if you are or are not going to attend. Gifts will be exchanged and the gift wrappings judged.
