Luray Garden Club
To Have Show
The Hill and Valley Garden Club of Luray will present its flower show, “Wonders of December” on Tuesday, December 8th in the Luray Methodist Church from 4:00 to 9:00 pjn. All amateur gardners are invited to enter die horticultural division and all the arrangement classes with the exception of the Invitation Class. Garden dubs are invited to compete in this class and may contact hfrs. Ronald Campbell by December 4th for pre-entry registration. This composition entitled “Party Mood” is to be staged on a card table furnished by the committee.
The show will include a horticultural division, an artistic arrangement division; junior division, educational and commercial divisions.
Plan now to attend “Wonders of Decanber” in Luray Methodist Church, Luray, Va. December 8.
Weather Bureau Award
The U.S. Weather Bureau has presented a bronze Length of Service Award to Miss Ruby V. Jenkins, Washington, Va., as a token of appreciation for having completed 15 yean of service as a JJ.S. Weather Bureau Cooperative Weather Observer^ The award is in the fpnn of ,a* 1»‘n lapel button with the number of pears service shown in figures immediately below the seal of the Department of Commerce.
