Your Room Is Ready
Set up lamb t>ens in a dry, draft V free area. The pens should be 3’ high x 4’ for smaller ewes. 4’x5’ for larger ewes. Add 1’ to length if using heat, lamps. Make jt impossible for a ewe to get under tjie heat lamp. The number of pens should be equal to 10% of the number of ewes bred. Spares should be available.
Do not use the lamb pens for lambing. Set aside a protected, large area nearby. The laboring ewe needs walking room.

It is easy to check the ewes as they eait the grain ration. A ewe about to lamb will be sunken in front of the hips, the vulva will be swollen and die udder full.
