Pfc James Edwin Green who has been stationed- at Ladd Air Force Base in Fairbanks, , Alaska, is spending a thirty-day leave with his parents, Mr. aaid Mrs. C. M. M. Green at, Amissville.
Green is in Co. C, 1st Bat. Grp 9th Infantry and works in the communications center. At the end of his leave he will return to Ladd Air Force Base.
Army PFC *John W. Pullen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde W. Pullen, Route 1, Washington, Va., is performing a tour of border duty with the 14th Armored Cavalry Regiment in Germany.
The primary fnission of the regiment is the constant surveillance of NATO’s Fulda Gap, a 100mile segment of the Iron Curtain, which serves as the gateway to Berlin.
Pullen whose wife, Dorothy, is witn him in Germany, is a supply clerk in Headquarters Company of the regiment’s 1st Battalion in Fulda. He entered the Army in April 1958, completed basic training at Fort Jackin, S. C. and arrived overseas last MaixJi.
