Bloodmobile Collects

14 Pints of Blood

Fourteen pints of blood was collected at the American Red Cross Bloodmobfle when it visited Rappahannock County Tuesday, January 5th. The unit was set up in the parish hall of Trinity Episcopal Church, Washington.

Those donating were Mrs.Wallace Critzer, Rev. John Divers, Rev. E. H. Nicholson, Jr., Whit Hudson, Wilson Woodard, Mrs. John Divers, James Lee, Mrs. Sarah Latham, Mrs. Laura Nethers, Mrs. John S. Browning, Mrs; Paul Miller, Herbert Foster, Raymond Johnson, and E. M. Jones.

Four persons were rejected. They were Miss Nancy Brown, Bill Lyne, Ralph Rowzie, and Miss Linda Lou Dodson.

Fire Co. And Rescue

Washington Aux.

The Ladies Auxiliary to the Washington Fire Company presented the Fire Company a check 'for $675 at the firemens meeting Tuesday evening. The Rescue Squad was given $300 by the same ladies organization.

The “guessing jar of 'com" that the auxiliary sponsored, netted only $3.35 in donations.

The Auxiliary wishes to express their appreciation for the donations of money and for articles given for the rummage sales.

There is an open invitation to the ladies of this area to join the auxiliary.
