During 1959' your county agent made 429 farm visits; had 766 office visits and 903 telephone call (incoming and outgoing). In performing my work 6,992 miles were traveled other than travel to Conferences, Institute of Rural Affairs, etc. Also 38 news articles were published, 3 7 broadcasts made and 572 subject matter publications handed out. in the process 310 different farm families, 90 rural non-farm, and 30 urban families were assisted.
While the county agent works first of all fvith people, my work is broken down into four main categories or commodities: Horticulture, Agronomy, Livestock and Forestry with adults while the duties of my assistant, Walter Saunders, are essentially with boys 4-H club work and Farm Development (adult).
