What a beafttirul day today has been. Really/hd hate to come back to the office. Saw Mary Jamieson in CulpCper real early this morning. ,T!very( one said she had the nicest hunt breakfast Saturday. . Talked to a\very attractive young lady ini Jayiifc’s (can’t remember her name) who went on the hunt Saturday! She had the. misfortune to fall and iHash her finger. Believe she said her horse stepped- on her finger. Anyhow she had fun at Mary’s party and at a dance that night. 4Brave girl.

Well Bert Spalding is at last making arrangements to get her passport.: All she has to do now is get a pipture. She hopes to visit Bobbie in France in July.

I certainly was ashamed ofya box of apples; I saw in Gill & Graham’s this morning. Surely they couldn’t have been Rappahannock Apples! And there were several of our men talking to Mr. Graham..wish they would send him some real apples.

Ashsah and Jack Miller have both been sick with flu. Jack is back at the bank and Achsah says she is on the mend. .Understand Brucie Bruce is on the sick list and. Mary Miller Payne is home with flu. Hope they will soon be out. Ruth Keyser is back art her home in Williamsburg. Mr. C. Roy Jones says he still has a little cold, but is feeling much better.

We were mighty sorry to hear of the death of Mr. Carpenter’s brother-in-law. He died Sunday night.

Do you remember where the bowling alley was in j Culpeper? Well that will be the new home of the Culpeper Book Store. They expect to rflove next month.
