The girls were led by Nokesville through the first half of the game and at the half tthe score was 15-12 for Nokesville, but the Pantherettes surged ahead in the third and final quartets to gain victory with a score of 33-24. Jean Lillard was high scorer.
January 22 brought victory to both Rappahannock teams when they defeated Gar-Field on the Rappahannock court.
Though Gar-Field led at the half, the Panthers came from behind to gain a 57-45 Win. Butch Browning was high man for Rappahannock with 28 points.
In the girls game the first quarter score was tied up 6-6, but the half way mark showed the Pantherettes with a four ponit lead.
Gar-Field lagged badly in the third and last quarters and the final score was 41-29 in Rappahannock's favor with Shirley Brown high scorer.

The first livestock judging team practice for this year was held a week ago Saturday morning at Zesuswyni Farm, Culpeper. 4-H’er* attending this workout on Angus cattle included Lyle Updike, David Lyne, Walter B. Kilby and Herbie Peverill. A total of ten judging practice sessions have been planned between now and the last of April in prparation for our District Livestock Judging Contest at Vernna the first Saturday in May.
