Dr. W. E. Skelton. State 4-H Club Agent sent me a copy of a letter on April 13 to Jack Sisk. To quote: “This is to notify yow that your $150.00 scholarship is now. available for your use here at V.P. I. This is the money which you won in the National 4-H Sheep Shearing Contest.”
Skelton continues: “We have a great deal of confidence in you and your ambition to secure a college education. I can assure you that it will be worth all of your efforts and that upon graduation you will be more than pleased with your achievements. While in college you should do your very best in your classes and secure the maximum amount of training. There are many opportunities for young people of your caliber and especially those who are well trained.”
