The Cancer Campaign is underway in Rappahannock as w$ll as the country over and will run until May 20. The need for funds is great in order‘"fhat research and prevention of the No. 2 killer of American people may be continued.
Local district chairman are being appointed, and will contact you, that you may contribute to the fight of this dread disease.
Mrs. J. L. Turner, chairman for Rappahannock, states that a list of district chairmen will be announced at a later date, or you may make your contribution directly to her at Washington, Va.
Arrested For Hit And Run
Front Royal police have charged Bertha Williams of Rappahannock County with hit and run, following the admission of Richard Me Nabb, 15, to Warren Memorial Hospital on Friday. - The boy, who was struck while riding a bicycle on East Main St. Friday morning, was released, from the hospital Saturday morning.
Police said Mrs. Williams’ car pulled from Blue Ridge Avenue into Main St. and struck the boy.
