Going to Richmond last Thursday we had a blow out; nearly scared us to death. I turned to Ruth Steveas and asked her. if she knew any thing about changing a tire. Said "she knew a little.’’ 1 could just picture Ruth, Miss Addie Boyd and me changing a tire, but thank goodness an Atkers truck stopped and the driver fixed it for -us.
Yesterday I was in Culpeper and Front Roal. It really was chilly. Quite a change from Sunday.
I had the nicest letter from Bucky Fletcher yesterday. She is taking part in the play, "Midsummer Night’s Dream”, that is heing presented at St. Catherine’s School. She will be Amazon. Said her costume looked like one of Stuart’s with a piece of leopard skin hanging from her shoulder to her knee. She will also wear a helmet and carry a spear. Sounds like lots of fun; wish I were able to see it.
