Clyde Stanley Givens, Jr. became Assistant County Agent of Rappahannock and Warren Counties, July 1st. f
Mr. Givens, a native of Craig County, is well qualified for the position, having been born and reared on a farm. He received his B.S. degree in Animal Husbandry from V.P.I. in 1956, later earning his M.S. degree from the same institution. He has also had one year post graduate study at Iowa State University at Ames. Iowa.
Prior to joining the Extension Service’s field force, Mr. Givens was employed by Hales and Hunter Co., manufacturers of animal and poultry feeds, of Wilmington, Delaware.
Mr. and Mrs. Givens are making their home in Front Royal.
No Polio Casea In Virginia To Date
State Health Department officals said Tuesday not a single case of polio has been reported in the Old Dominion this year. At about the same time last year, 28 cases had been reported to the department.
