The marriage of Betty Jean Settle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W-illiam Edward Settle of Washington, Virginia, to John Paul M'Sulis, son or Mis. Marie Ann Vife of Chicago. Illinois, was solemnized Saturday. July 16 at two (/’clock, in the \V asnington Methodist Church.
The church was decorated with palms, fern, mixed white flowers and candelabra.
The double ring ceremony was performed by Reverend Anderson I). Goodson of Charlottesville, a former pastor of the church.
Mrs. Willie Gentry sang “I Love You Truly accompanied by Mrs. Paul Nichols who also rendered the traditional marches.
The bride, given in marriage by her father wore a ballerina length gown of imported lace over taffetaand nylon tulle The fitted bodice had a scalloped -icckline and long sleeves which came to a point over her hands. Her veil of illusion fell from a tiara of seed pearls and chips. She carried a prayer book covered with lace and topped with a white orchid and streamers. She also carried a white linen handker: chief bordered with crocheted lace, a gift of the groom's mother.
Mrs. Wayne Cornell, cousin of the bride, served as her matron of honor. She wore a blue nylon lace • dress with matching accessories and her bouquet was of pink and white . carnations.
Wayne W. Cornell acted as best I man. Jimmie Settle, the bride’s brother, and Tommy Fincham, her cousin were ushers.
Mrs. Settle chose for her daughter's wedding a blue lace dress with white accessories and her corsage was of pin rosebuds. Mrs. Vig Wore a rose lace dress with white accessories and a corsage of pink rosebuds. ! Following the ceremony, a reception
was held in Bromfield parish hall. The table was decorated with a centerpiece of mums and
