The number of accidents in the comparative six months period was reduced by 1,076 or 34%, according to the reports received. There were 2,059 accidents in the last half of 1959. compared with 3,135 in the same period of 1958.
Accidents bv counties, July-December 1959 were: Rocloingham 1,101; Shenandoah 525; Harrisonburg 357; Warren 297; Page 250; Rappahannock 77. There were 1,983 males hurt and 1,004 females.
