Board Meeting
The Washington Methodist Official Board met at the home of Mrs. Floyd Compton on Tuesday’, August 2nd, I960. The parsonage fund, youth program, and newly organized choir were among the items discussed during the business session. Before the meeting adjourned, the members of the offical board surprised their new pastor and his wife with a “Food Shower". Fresh garden vegetables, canned goods and home-canned foods were among the many items given by friends and members of the Washington Methodist Church.
Those present were Mrs. Floyd Compton, Miss Jessie Rowzie, Miss Virginia Estes, Mrs. Shirley Huff, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Burke, Mr. Robert Frazier and Rev. and Mrs. William A. Jester
The next Official Board Meet ing will be held Tuesday, Septcm ber 6th at 8:00 p.m.
