A report—was given on the controversial Moffett Building as to renting it for use other than thg^ of the county,, with the ruling that the county cannot rent any public building to a third party if the county has use for it.
At a prior meeting letters from Judge R. V. Snead and J. W. Fletcher requesting the building be used as a record room and library for court officials were read by Mr. Jones, and at that meeting a committee was appointed to see what repairs and improvements the building needed. No report was given at Wednesday’s meeting and no decision as to the use of the building was reached.
Arising again was the matter of dog owners being liabel for sheep killed by their dogs. From the heated discussion ensuing, came a request for Commonwealth’s Attorney, George H. Davis, to write to the Attorney,General for a ruling which will be presented at the September meeting.
Dog Warden Jack Bruce entered a claim for two sheep valued at $20 each, killed on the farm of F. R. Taylor at Sperryville. Motion was made by E. M. Estes, with a second by Herbert Foster and carried to pay same.
