Sue Slaughter Group Meet*
The Sue Slaughter Group of the Woman’s Missionary 'Society of Baptist Churches held its fall meeting at Forest Grove with a very good attendance.
The theme was “God’s Solution For Our Chaotic World.”
Mrs. H. B. Winfrey was the speaker for the morning session and took as her subject “In Obedience To God”. In the afternoon Mrs. Harold B. Tillman, State Secretary of Girl’s Auxiliary brought a missionary message “For The Healing Of The Nations”. Mrs. Tillman has observed mission work in eleven foreign countries. Her late husband was the pastor of a church near Cairo, Egypt.
Others taking part in the program were Mrs. B. R. Cox, Mrs. W. C. Campbell. Mrs. J. Rodes Brown, Miss Mary Btuce, Mrs. C. B. Johnson, Mrs. John Hodge and Rev. John B. Hodge.
Visitors were amazed and highly pleased with the educational building at Forest Grove and all wondered just how a small church could accomplish so much.
A bountiful lunch was served.
