Miss Mary Worthin' Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr. of Evergreen, Washington, Va., will sail for Japan in mid-July as a missionary from the 'Episcopal Church. Miss Davis, a graduate of Rappahannock County High School, will graduate from Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg, Va. early in June with a B.S. degree, majorini in mathematics and science. She will be a missionary teacher of conversational English in a girl’s school (high school). Although the school is church sponsored, most of the students will be non-Christians. She will live with a Japr.nese ftnily or with Japanese teachers in the school. Her assignment will be for two years with the privilege of serving Cur if she chooses. The Anglican Church in Japan i.. known as the Nippon Sei Ko Kai (Holy Catholic Church of Japan). It became a separate church in the Anglican‘Communion just prior to World War II when all missionariese were expelled from Jlapan. It survived the war and now has ten dioceses and bishops operating throughout Japan.
