Fruit Growers: The purpose of our get-together scheduled for May 26th has been altered. Originally representatives of the Hort Society had been scheduled to explain Marketing Orders and Agreenrents, however, a call from Bob Graves, Jr. revealed such discussion will he postponed until it is learned which Marketing Act we will be operating under. It will be covered at a later date.
Instead, 1 will show the slides on orchard insects requested by several growers and George Williams will discuss current insect and disease developments. The time 7:30 p.m. (standard): the place: County Court Room. See you there!

H . e had several reports from farme-s on successful groundhog control efforts since our demonstrations last month. Better get going on this job before full foliage.
Nelson Swink'of the Fish and Wildlife Service reported one groundhog would eat and trample a ton of alfalfa in a single year. At ore of the demonstrations, a farmer reported he had read of these pests eating and destroying as much grassi as would two yearling steers!
