John R. Woodward, Chairman of the Northern Virginia Wool Producers Association, and member of the steering committee of the newly .created Valley-Northern Virginia Wool Marketing Association, announced today that the wool producers of 29 counties covering Northern Virginia, the Shenandoah Valley and part of West Virginia, met at Staunton on May 10 and sold 860,000 pounds of wool for over $500,000.00. The wool brought a high of $60.80 per hundred to a low of $58.51, with the majority of the wool being sold in the price range of pounds.
