A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 16 from Amissville Methodist Church, with interment following in the church cemetery. The Rev. John B. 'Hodge,' pastor of the Amissville Baptist Church, conducted the last rites, assisted by Rev. Ralph Stalter of Amissville Methodist Church.
Pallbeareri were Earl Dodson, Baron Dodson, Solomon Bruce, Raymond Frye, Roger Rutherford, and Herman Dodson.
Geest Funeral Parlors were in charge of arrangements.

Cmdr. John R. Harris of Falls Church was a dinner guest Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. B. R. Cox on Mt. Salem Avenue. In die afternoon, Mrs. Cox and Cmdr. Harris visited their sister, Mrs. Elizabeth H. DeBergh wljo is a patient in the Warren Memorial Hospital. Her condition remains about the same.
