i There will be a social at the home of Mrs. Roberta Russell on May 20 beginning at 7 JO p.m. (EST) for the benefit of the building fund. Refreshments will be on sale. The public is invited.

The pupils of W. A. Russell Graded School, Flint Hill, will. present an opereta, “Awake ’Tis May,” Friday night, May 19 at 8 p.m. Admission is 35 cents. Refreshments will be sold. The public is invited.

The Scrabble School Club entertained the PTA with a thank you program and placard saying,“Thanks for the good soup. Happy vacation,” on May 9th at their regular meeting. They sang action songs from the primary grades. Paul Aylor, Peggy Andes and James Jackson told some of their favorite stories.

An original poem, “Good Night To All” was read by Hattie Jackson. The meeting and program was interesting with ten parents in attendance. The summer objective of the PTA is to encourage larger attendance to the regular PTA meetings.
