Tigers Put On The
Fireworks Over The
July 4th Holiday
The Sperryville Tigers grubbed out two wins over the holiday to boost their record to 15 wins; 2 losses and a tie. They worked the an 8-2 score. Richard Slaughter Cismont Braves over Sunday with went all the way for the Tigers and racked up 18 strike outs and gave up 2 walks.
Qn the 4th, the Tigers worked over the Jeffersonton Red Sox, winning with a score of 7-2. Roy Jackson was on the mound. He did a fine job of holding the hard hitting Sox under control. He picked up 10 strike outs and gave up no walks.
Sunday July 9th the Tigers will meet the Cismont Braves on their diamond.
