Tigers Take Braves
The Sperryville Tigers added one more win to their record Sunday when they beat the Cismont Braves with a 13-9 score. Charles Williams started pitching for the Tigers, but in the 5th inning he had to be taken out.'Will Carter came on to relieve Williams, but the Braves still had their hitting shoes on. It finally took Ray Jackson to stop them. The Tigers will have their next home game Sunday, July 23d with Martinsburg, W. Va. Game time 2:30 ptn. EST.
Anyone who is interested in going on a trip to Martinsburg, W. Va. on a Greyhound bus with the Sperryville Tigers baseball team Sunday, July 16, please get in touch with Moody Aylor or Howard Butler immediately for there are only a few seats left.
