This is the first part of the Civil Defense Emergency Plan For Rappahannock County. I MISSION
The mission of the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County through its Director and Coordinator of Civil Defense, is to organize, direct, and support emergency operations of -government, local or state which are necessary for survival in the event of manmade or natural disaster. II RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
A. Board of Supervisors
It is the responsibility o fthe Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County to elect a Director of Civil Defense. Upon election, the Director of Civil Defense shall automatically become a member of local government of Rappahannock County. The Board'Shall also be responsible for the establishment of a plan which will become operational upon the declaration of an emergency.
