Mrs. A. 11. Vemer, who has been a patient in the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville for the past several months, is looking forward tomorrow to having the cast removed which has encased her from her chest to her ankles for six weeks. Her hands have been free and die has been able to exercise on a bar suspended above her bed.
In a lettter to Rappahannock News, Mrs. Verner says in part, “The Rappahannock people have been so wonderful to come see me as well as write, and not only once but many times. I wish I could name them all, but having to write flat on my back and hold paper or tablet, my arm soon gets tired, even though I practice with a five pound weight. I would love to answer all my mail and who knows, maybe some day I’ll catch
