Best man for Mr. Devers was Mr. Net us “Sonny” Brown of Sperryville and ushers were Mr. Paul Robert Neal, Strasburg and Hugh Smith Atkins of Sperryville.
A reception followed in the social room of the church which was decorated with candles and flow'ars. A three-tiered wedding cake centered the table. Miss Carol Almarode of Front Royal was in charge of the guest book. Mrs. Jack Boyer of StVasburg served the punch and Mrs. Roy Neal of Strasburg and Mrs. Earl Houghton of Front Royal presided at the punch bowl. All three are aunts of the bride.
Mrs. Pingley chose a beige polka dot gown for her daughter's wedding. She had white accessories and white carnations.
For traveling the bride wore a light green dress with matching jacket and white accessories and the orchids from her Prayer Book.
After a northern trip, Mr. and Mrs. Devers are making their home in Sperryville.
The bride is a graduate of Rappahannock High School ’61. Mr. Devers is also a graduate of Rappahannock High School, class of '59 and is employed by the Rappahannock Farmers Coopera9
