fire. Sub-district Ranger Robert E. Cook acted as fire boss for the simulated forest fire across Pass Run. Two ten-men craws were used to control the make-believe fire, which had been defined with red crepe paper prior to the exercise. The action included travel to a fire, receiving instructions from the fire boss, line building, burning out, mop-up and patrol.

Tuesday, November 7th is elecday for State Government heads.
On the Democratic ticket for Governor, Albertis S. Harrison is the nominee, with Milk E. Godwin his running mate for Lieutenant Governor and for Attorney General Robert Y. Button is the' candidate. Representing Rappahannock arid Fauquier Counties for the House of Delegates is Tom Frost who is unopposed.
On the Republican slate are H’. Clyde Pearson for Governor; Hazel K. Barger for Lieutenant Governor and Leon Owens, Attorney General.
