Flint Hill firemen will open a four-night carnival Wednesday, August 1, with a free display of fireworks. Other attractions have been planned for each of the next three nights.
On Thursday there will be a grard parade with more than 125 entries, including bands, drum Sc bugle corps, marching units, majorette groups, floats, beauty queens and fire fighting equipment. The parade which starts at 6:30 p.m. (DST) will be led by' the United States Air Force Headquarters Command Band. Competing for prizes will be more than 15 bands and drum & bugle corps from Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia, including the 1960 State Champion Drum & Bugle Corps from Richmond, and the 1961 State Champions from Winchester.
Miss Dianne Rudy, who holds the title of “Miss Warren County Fair" and Miss Trudy Underwood holder of the “Miss Warren County” title wiH be seen in die parade.
The Ladies Auxiliary will have a plate supper on sale at the carnival grounds immediately following the parade Thursday night.
Friday night will be high-lighted by the awarding of six valuable prizes.
The carnival will be brought to a climax Saturday night with the awarding of the grand prize, a 1962 Plymouth automobile endthree other przes.
There will be plenty of food and games of all kinds on the midway which will include a ferris wheel, merry-go-round, and several kiddie rides.
Revival Services Of
Amissville Baptist
Revival services will begin at Amissville Baptist Church Sunday morning, July 29 and continue through the week, closing Friday evening. Services which begin at 8 p.m. each evening, will be conducted by the Re\^ L. B. Harrison.
