Rappahannock Rescue Squad is making its annual canvass for funds to maintain the squad for the coming year. Donations have been received from different parts of the county, but much more is needed. Last week the squad answered four calls, to Front Royal, Charlottesville and Washington, D. C. Mileage requires money. Make your contribution now. ~

Contest Underway
Plans are being made for the Amissville Carnival to be held August 15-18 on the carnival grounds in Amissville, Va.
The queen contest sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary is underway. Working for the title of “Miss Amissville” are Dcnice Carter, Terry !Hall. Cheryl Martin, Martha Ann Settle, Nancy Lee Smith, Marsha Berry, Faye Burner and Kate Frazier. Contact the girl of your choice and vote for her. The queen will be crowned on Friday evening, August 17.
